INTRO:



It was a very tiring but liberating experience. I'm no mountaineer and i despise steep slopes. I once tried wall climbing but promised myself never to do it again. So just imagine my ordeal when we went caving and trekking in sagada. Geez! what an experience!

Description:
it was a tiring trek down the falls and an even more tiring trek from the falls to the town proper....whew! i could just imagine how more tiring the big falls would be..... by the way, bring your swimsuit.....the water here is so inviting....... it's 10 feet deep.....

Description:
the trek to sumaguing cave is a complete shock to me......... but it's well worth all the shaky knees and fast palpitation of the heart, hehe...

this is an old burial site...... see those logs? those are actually coffins....

we asked one of our tour guides how they were able to hang their coffins like that and the guide told us that the people doing it are excellent mountain climbers.....

btw, i didn't go near those coffins because the trail is STEEP!

Description:
ok...this is somewhat interesting.... i was asking the guide what they call those protruding cement-like rocks and he said that it is a "buhay na bato"..... meaning it's alive.... why alive? they say it still grows..... 1 inch (or was it millimeter?) every 100 years.........

it was closed when we went here (sunday)...anyway, masferre is a famous photographer in sagada....this is where you'll see his photography collections......

they have big servings for the "meat meals".......... we ended up ordering 2 dishes for 3 persons (me and the 2 guys) and we're very satisfied.....

Favorite Dish:
try their farmer's pancake..... you can choose from bacon/hotdogs/ham..... mine is bacon.....sarap! it's near the municipal hall

Description:
if you love yoghurts you'll gonna love these...... otherwise you'll find this very sour...... btw, the meals are at Php120 and the yoghurt at Php50.... there are many flavors of yoghurt to choose from....
just walk away from the municipal hall..... you'll pass by this place on your way to the caves.......

Description:
we were 6 in the group and we chose the communal bath room....... so we paid only 150 each....
the place is kind of old but it's clean.... if you choose the dorm type room (the one w/ 6 beds) w/ communal bath you might want to tell at the counter if you would need hot water..... the cost is 50/bucket..... you would need it!

Getting TO: we opted to do the manila-banaue-bontoc-sagada route for a side trip to banaue......

autobus leaves manila at 10pm and arrives at banaue at 7am.....
